Every BVA member has the opportunity to follow training. It doesn't matter what your playing level is, BVA offers training for all levels within the association on both match days. Our trainers are trained by Badminton Netherlands according to the BWF training structure, certified and have professional knowledge to provide training and coaching.

Training is the basis of badminton and an important part of the game. If you want to grow in badminton you have to train in addition to playing freely. At BVA, training is not mandatory and you do not have to pay extra for it.

The BVA youth plays on Tuesdays between 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM in the De Pijp sports center. See more details about the youth page

I have been a trainer at BVA since 2014. I provide training to all recreational and competition players of all levels within BVA. My training focus is mainly on making the player and his game more efficient. This starts with learning the optimal racket grip for maximum hitting results for all playing situations (the 5 fingers and their functions, the power grip) and is accompanied by the correct running technique. For the best training results, I offer very different running and hitting exercises and sometimes an exercise starts with a set back. During practice matches, often at the end of training, I coach on tactics and playing insight and intervene if mistakes are made. I get my motivation from the feedback from the players and when I see that someone is playing better. I bring a lot of my own experience from top sport and my ambition is to get the best out of you.

Since 2021, I have been a trainer at BVA for recreational players as well as for competition players. My training is characterised by applying a large repertoire of exercises that are tailored to the playing level of the group and the individual. My training focus is mainly on improving footwork and hitting technique by training as many possible patterns that occur in a match or rally. By combining different exercises, training with progressive skills focuses more on simulating free play than on pure rehearsal of movements. Through good skills analysis and individual attention, I can coach on a personal level to help him/her play better. The player is always central in my training.
